Our first young lady working with us at Karibu Nyumbani.

I, Ester, want to share with you the story of our first young lady from the village who has come to work here in the last week. When I reached the site I was surprised to see this young lady working with her father and I asked her who she was.

] Mother and baby together for Christmas!


 

She explained that her husband died last year leaving her with a two week old baby. She continued to say whilst in tears, that she has to leave her baby with her mother as she needs to work for herself and the baby.

It has been our joy to be able to find work for her here on our land, carrying logs and branches so that she and her baby can spend Christmas together. We are hoping that the two of them will be our guests for Christmas!
